Frank E. Mille, 77
Francis E. Mille, 77, passed away Jan. 14, 2015, one day shy of 78 years old.
Frank wrote most of his obituary - the first part is from Frank to all of you family and friends.
Francis "Frank" Mille: Son of Francis and Eugene Mille was born in O'Neill, Neb. on Jan. 15, 1937. He had three brothers and two sisters. As a young boy his family moved to Ottawa, Kan. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1955.
After graduating, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy with eight other classmates. He served four years making two cruises to the Far East on two different aircraft carriers, the USS Boxer 21 and the USS Midway 41.
Frank married Sharon Lee Wright of Bremerton, Wash., on May 3, 1958. They have four daughters, six grandchildren, two great-granddaughters with one great-granddaughter on the way, and two great-grandsons.
Frank retired after 27 years working for Idaho Forest Industries at the Atlas Tie Mill, in Coeur d'Alene, where he was the planer supervisor at the time of his retirement.
Frank loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Eugene Mille, his brother David Mille and sister Bev Sellers.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon Mille; daughters Lori Stanea, Toni (Stuart) Nicholas, Cindy Little, Stephanie (Roger) Saterfiel, and special friend and daughter at heart Lori Baker; grandchildren Parker Stanea, Taylor Little, Haylee Little, Robyn and Ashley Spangler, Addison Saterfiel, and Trisha Saterfiel; great-granddaughters Ava and Ryann; great-grandsons Landon and Colton.
Frank's life will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, at St. Pius Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d'Alene; lunch to follow and family graveside with Navy honors.
English Funeral Home is in care of our loving Father. Frank will be on the Veterans Memorial wall at the Hayden, Idaho, Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Three things Frank had on his bucket list was to attend a Gonzaga Bulldog game - mission accomplished. Another was to see the Seahawks win a Super Bowl - mission accomplished. The last was to see the Seattle Mariners win a World Series, but he didn't think he would live to be 120 years old.
To sum up Frank's life is to say PROUD VETERAN AND FAMILY MAN!
