Kraig Granger, 58

| January 5, 2015 8:00 PM

Kraig Scot Granger was born to Red and B.J. Granger on June 23, 1956, in Oakland, Calif. As a child, Kraig, his brother, Mark, and sister Judy, lived in many states before finally re-establishing roots in Southern California.

After he graduated from El Camino Real High School, Kraig joined the United States Marine Corps, which had a positive influence on his life. After being honorably discharged, he met the future mother of his children Jessica Leigh and Ashley Paige. One of Kraig's proudest achievements was serving as Commandant of Students and teaching at the Ridgewood Military Academy in Woodland Hills, Calif.

Kraig began a career in Telecommunications in 1980. In 1994, Kraig moved to the Pacific Northwest, eventually residing in Medical Lake, Wash., where he later met his girlfriend, Marie Maira.

Kraig worked at both Deaconess and Valley hospitals in Spokane, Wash., as a Telecommunications Manager with his longtime friend, Billy Butherus. Kraig was well respected in the community, and was recognized as a friend and confidant.

Sadly on Dec. 22, 2014, Kraig was taken from us too soon. He was a warm, loving, incredible man with the world's biggest heart. He was an amazing friend, coach, teacher, companion and the world's best dad. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
