GOP: Don't shut down DHS

Senator Risch Wants Plan B on Amnesty:

You read that right. The reason why Republicans can’t have a showdown with our unlawful president on amnesty is because senators like Risch are willing to give up the fight in the Senate on defunding Obama’s unlawful actions.

Here’s the scenario: The House passed a bill that defunds Obama’s unlawful amnesty through the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill. The bill went over to the Senate where Democrats have been blocking the “Motion to Proceed” to the bill. The funding for the Department of Homeland Security will run out on Feb. 27. Instead of caving when Republicans finally have the leverage, Republicans should continue to file “Motions to Proceed” and when the Democrats block it, they should take to the media and the Senate floor to demand that they not shut down DHS. This can happen but Republican senators have to stick together.

We need to keep the pressure on Congress to stick with their promises!

Call and email Senator Risch and ask him to continue to fight for the defunding of Obama’s unlawful amnesty.
