BEHOLD: The new face of hatred

OK, let’s review.

Yes, everybody has the right to free speech.

We had (or maybe still do) the Aryan Nation/White Power folks. Now, let’s acknowledge the newest face of hate, our Christian brethren who hate homosexuals. You know who you are, and we have all read recent examples of it, right here on this page.

You too, of course, have the same rights of free speech as anyone else.

The saddest part of your hate is how you feel free to pick the scriptures that support your view (or your hateful opinion was formed from reading those scriptures?). Either way, what happened to the Golden Rule? Should I hate you folks because you are so misguided? No, not worth my energy.

Your hypocrisy is disgusting. Your self-righteous attitude is arrogant. Your ignorance is front and center.

None of you kind folks know anyone who is openly gay. I know you know someone who is gay, you just don’t know they are. You would be the last person they would feel “comfortable”coming out to.

But here’s the deal, the part you are too closed-minded to even consider. NOBODY chooses to be gay; nobody is “recruited.” How do I know this? My brother is gay and I worked in the entertainment business for more than 20 years. ALL my gay friends knew they were “different” by age 3.

Now ask yourself this. How many people would willingly choose a lifestyle of torment and harassment? Nobody does. My brother didn’t willingly choose it, either.

So, I ask you, look into your Christian heart and rethink your view.

My goal is to suppress this type of hate, just like we suppressed the vile hatred of our late friend and neighbor, Mr. Butler.
