PREP ROUNDUP: Pennington, Wichman win at Freeman Classic

ROCKFORD, Wash. — Garek Pennington, a 113-pound wrestler from Timberlake and Hans Wichman of Coeur d’Alene won individual titles for their respective schools during the Freeman Winter Classic on Thursday.

Deer Park won the team title with 204 points. Post Falls was fifth with 118, Coeur d’Alene seventh with 91 and Timberlake eigth with 81.

St. Maries finished 16th with 19 points.

SEATTLE — Elijah Schreibeis and Jackson Ebune scored nine points each for the Jaguars in a loss to Mt. Rainier late Tuesday.

Jonny Hillman scored seven points for Genesis Prep (4-3), which plays at Lakeside on Tuesday.
