Former NIC standout Webb

earns Mountain West honor

Boise State redshirt junior forwad James Webb III, who played his freshman year at North Idaho College, was named the Mountain West Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 31 points on Sunday in Boise to lead Boise State past Bradley in the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge.

It is Webb’s first conference player of the week award this season and second of his career.

Webb posted the first 30-point game of his career against Bradley behind career highs of 10 made field goals and 10 made free throws. He was 10 for 11 from the free throw line, including covering a trio of three-point plays, matching his season total through the first 11 games.

He scored nine points during a 12-2 Boise State run in the second half that pushed the Broncos’ lead from 13 to 23 and put the game out of reach. Webb also finished with eight rebounds and a season-high four steals.
