Malek to hold town hall meeting

COEUR d’ALENE — Rep. Luke Malek, R-Coeur d’Alene, will host a town hall meeting on Wednesday to discuss issues and legislation that are likely to come up in the next legislative session.

The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Fire Station 3, which is located at 1500 N. 15th St.

According to a press release, Malek will talk about the issues that are likely to face the Legislature this year and the legislation he intends to sponsor, including education issues, an anti-trafficking statute and many others.

There will also be time reserved for questions. All members of the public are encouraged to attend.

Malek serves on the Joint Finance and Appropriations Committee, the Judiciary, Rules and Administration Committee, and the Local Government Committee.

He is also the co-chair of the Interim Committee on Broadband Access and is a member of the Criminal Justice Reinvestment Oversight Committee.
