Rodney Wing, 61

Rodney D. Wing died Dec. 2, 2015 in his home in Everett, Wash. due to complications from diabetes. He was born on May 24, 1954 and was raised in La Grande, Ore. He received an associate in science degree in law enforcement at Blue Mountain Community College and was Deputy Sheriff in La Grande, Ore. He went on to work as a gunsmith for Lee's Outdoor Outfitters in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

In 1985 he enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country for over 10 years in the military police. His final workplace was at Onamac Machine Industries in Everett, Wash., as quality control inspector. He was very dedicated, trustworthy and thorough in everything he chose to do.

Rodney was preceded in death by father Charles Wing, mother Selma Wing, and step mother Hazel Wing.

He leaves behind his sister Charlene Halfhide, step-sister Patricia Reed, and stepbrother Hanford Bruce Reed.

He was a gentle giant, a man of few words who loved his country and will be greatly missed.
