Family of six coping with medical bills this Christmas

A mother wrote Press Christmas for All requesting help this winter. Her family experienced considerable hardship this year, and needs assistance for the holiday.

Medical issues have been the primary concern for the family. Her husband has been hospitalized for deep vein thrombosis twice this year. As a result of his condition, he has also been out of work. Adding to the expense, their youngest child, a 6-year-old boy, recently required extensive throat surgery.

Despite the difficulty of dealing with medical bills, the family has taken in the mother’s formerly homeless younger brother. With six people under the roof and bills to pay, the family is in considerable need of aid this season.

“Thank you for your help,” the mother told Press Christmas for All. “It is greatly appreciated.”

Each year, Press readers donate generously to the program. The money collected is distributed in the form of gift cards to those who
