Kenneth Waldo Madsen Jr., 83

| December 10, 2015 8:00 PM

Thank you for showing us all that faith, love, and a great sense of humor are the beacons of hope that guide us through life’s darkest storms. You served your country honorably during the Korean War, found peace and salvation through God’s grace, and enriched the lives of all who knew you.

After graduating from college you married your first wife, Carolyn Emery, and raised a beautiful family in Jackson, Wyo. You worked hard as a home builder and skilled woodwork craftsman to support them, and even raised your two nephews when that became part of God’s plan. You enjoyed golfing, fishing, music, and carpentry, and impressed us all with your superior skills at bowling. (High score 299!)

You are proudly survived by Roberta Madsen of Coeur d’Alene Idaho, KC (son) & Yvette Madsen of Spokane, Wash., Michelle (daughter) & Duke Popovic’ of Weddington, N.C. and Robin (daughter) & Randy Wilde of Salt Lake City, Utah. Nephews, Pat Varley of Layton, Utah and Mark Varley of Victor, Idaho. Brother, Robert & Kathy Chatelain of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sister Emma Lou & Don Pack of Kingman, Ariz. and Sister Carol & Ray Borich of Taylorsville, Utah. Grandchildren, Libby Poletti, Cody Poletti, Cort Blackwell, Karson Wilde, Cooper Poletti, Staci Madsen, Christien Madsen and Claire Popovic.

Even though you have gone from this world, know you are loved, and that you will live on forever in our hearts.

There will be a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Yates Funeral Home Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave, Hayden, Idaho. There will be a reception to follow.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Kenneth's online memorial and sign his guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
