Give blood Friday at Coeur d'Alene High School

| December 10, 2015 1:07 PM

Because this time of year is challenging for the Inland Northwest Blood Center, DECA students at Coeur d’Alene High School are hosting their annual blood drive.

Every day the Inland Northwest Blood Center needs 200 donors to ensure a safe supply of blood.

“During the holiday season the blood bank loses 40 percent of its donations,” said Antonio Carrico, in a message to The Press.

The CHS blood drive began Thursday and continues Friday in the small gym at the school, 5530 N. Fourth Street.

Carrico said there are still slots open for anyone who wants to stop by and give blood.

The DECA program, with chapters at CHS and Lake City High School, teaches the principles of business and marketing through classroom instruction and hands-on experience.
