Rosalind Carneiro, 68

Heaven received a new Angel today with the passing of Rosalind Jean (Power) Carneiro to a long battle with cancer, on Dec. 5, 2015.

Rosalind was born in Colville, Wash., on June 13, 1947 to Austin and Nola Jean (Lilly) Power, and moved to Kellogg, Idaho, where she was the oldest of nine children — seven sisters and one brother. She graduated from Kellogg High School and started her own family. She worked most of her life in bookkeeping at several different jobs. Her hobbies included painting and making jewelry.

She is survived by her mother, Jean Wilson, Spokane; sisters, Katherine Wingfield (Art), Carol Michels (Myron), Sherry Fackler (Don), Lynn Hagman (Dan), Caron Munsen (Dave), Patti Presho (Mike); and one brother, Larry Power (Candy); in addition to her own family of five beautiful daughters, Karla L. Breesnee (Jay), Spokane, Karen M. Power, Spokane, Sindie M. Felix, Spokane, Michelle L. Jurgens, Coeur d’Alene, Tonie Ann Reiboldt (Spencer), Kennewick; and her husband of 44 years, Joseph “Rocky” Carneiro. She had 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Rosalind was preceded in death by her father, Austin Power, and her sister, Brenda Brock.

Rosalind’s heart was always filled with kindness and a love for her family and relatives. The family requests that any monetary contributions go to The American Cancer Society.
