Stanton Walter Froehlich, 68

Stanton Walter Froehlich, 68, passed away Nov. 29, 2015, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was born May 16, 1947, to Walter and Merril Froehlich in Lodi, Calif. They made their home in Galt, Calif., where they raised three children: Stanton, Barbara and Collin. Stan's father was the Galt Chief of Police for many years. Stan attended Galt Elementary, Galt High School and Sacramento State University.

Stan accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age and is a member of Bayview Bible Chapel in Bayview, Idaho. He is now at rest in his heavenly home. Stan met his wife, Susan, at a country dance in Sacramento, Calif. They were married in Hawaii in 1998. They lived in Wilton, Calif., until Stan’s retirement in 2008 when they moved to beautiful Idaho.

Stan loved to scuba dive and spear fish on the California coast. Together, Stan and Susie enjoyed boating, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, making water rockets and other fun projects with their children, grandchildren, family and friends. Stan continued to work on many projects including building their dream home where family and friends could gather together.

Stan is survived by his wife Susan, their children: Misty, Carrie and her husband Richard, Shellie and her husband Rick, David and his wife Elaine, Alexis and her husband Gary, Dennis and his wife Crystal, Rebecca and her husband Nate; and their 19 grandchildren: Josie, Levi, Devon, Naomi, Breanna, Matthew, Joshua, Ethan, Oren, Cicorra, Jaden, Chiara, Savannah, Cameron, Adalyn, Isaac, Nolan, Cambria and Avalon.

He was preceded in death by his father Walter E. Froehlich, his mother Merril B. Froehlich, his father-in-law William R. Hall, his mother-in-law Mary E. Hall, his sister-in-law Sharon Hall, his son-in-law Michael Saganski, as well as many family members and friends.

Memorial services will be officiated by Pastor Ben McLachlan at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The burial service is 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at the Mountain View Cemetery in Athol, Idaho.
