| December 2, 2015 8:00 PM

William F. Cooter Jr., better known as Bill to friends and family, passed away on Nov. 21, 2015, with sons Billy and Brian Cooter and his daughter-in-law, Deseray Cooter, at his side. Bill was born on Aug. 28, 1951, to parents William F. Cooter Sr. and Catherine Cooter in central New York, where he was born and raised with his older brother, Joseph. He worked as a truck driver for APA in Syracuse, N.Y., until he relocated to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1989.

In Las Vegas, Bill owned and operated a mailbox store and crating company until 2002 and was heavily involved with industry associations where he made lots of lifelong friendships.

For the last 10 years before he retired he drove a town car and limousine in Las Vegas.

After retiring Bill relocated to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in October 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, and his ashes will be laid to rest in Coeur d’Alene’s Forest Cemetery at a later date.

Bill was very appreciative of the work done by the American Kidney Foundation and we ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation in his honor.

He was a wonderful friend whom will always be remembered for his quick wit and hours of intellectual conversations that friends and family always enjoyed. Bill was a loving and caring father that instilled lasting values in his sons. He will be missed greatly.
