TRUMP: In a word, he's despicable

| August 26, 2015 9:00 PM

I am uncomfortable when I am thanked for my military service. As a Vietnam vet, my return to civilian life was met with expletives and disdain. As a university student on the G.I. Bill, I never let anyone know I was a veteran, as did my brothers. I had forgotten the hurt, after 40 years, until, Donald Trump, a porcine draft dodger, vilified a fellow Vietnam vet. The anger, and resentment came back.

His wealth and political influence kept him home when the rest of us were at war. I stuffed my feelings of rejection, until now. His attack on Sen. John McCain, a man who flew into deadly anti-aircraft fire daily and then suffered years of torture — and now continues to serve his country as a U.S. Senator — is despicable.

If you are a Donald Trump supporter, do not thank us for our military service, as we may have had to take scorn, but I will not accept the thanks from a hypocrite. If you are a Vietnam vet who supports Trump, shame on you.

I am also rankled with his answer about his bankruptcies. He states that many Americans declare bankruptcies, and he is right, but they don’t keep billions of dollars and brag about it while leaving their investors bilked out of millions. That makes you a Tinhorn, and as a person who hates everyone, including his own political party, excuse the archaic word, a Cad.
