COEUR d'ALENE - Jack Barrett scored a pair of goals on assists from Devon Hoffman, leading the Lake City Timberwolves past the Sandpoint Bulldogs 2-0 in a nonleague match at the Irma Anderl Soccer Complex on Tuesday.
"It was our first game with a lot of guys playing their first full game," Lake City coach Chad Beadell said. "Sandpoint, with playing (at Coeur d'Alene) on Saturday might have been a little ahead of where we were, but I was happy with our guys, especially defensively. We had a couple of guys that having a tough time breathing because of the smoke, but they did a good job of letting me know when they needed a break. I was more impressed we were able to get the game in. It was a good day and we've got some things to work on."
