William Frank Harris, 50
William Frank Harris went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 19, 2015. He was preceded by his father, Ellis Harris and mother Frances Harris. William adorned many nicknames such as (Wild Bill, Willy, Wilmont, Willis).
Willy was born March 16, 1965, in Petaluma, Calif. His family moved to Dalton Gardens in 1977.
Willy spent extensive time (1978-1987) with his sister, Dorothy and family on the Pack River, where he enjoyed the outdoors as a youth. After completing school in Coeur d'Alene, he moved to Las Vegas working as a landscaper. Willy returned to North Idaho protecting our freedom in the Army Reserve.
Willy had a passion for life and blessed all those that knew him. His favorite hobbies were spending time in the woods hunting for horns, mushrooms, or anything he might find. He collected arrowheads and several other treasures he found. Willy also enjoyed camping, boating, spending time with his friends at Nosworthy's Hall of Fame, and most recently golf. In fact he was certain by the end of the year he could beat Tiger Woods. And of course he loved a good meal.
Willy made his living in construction. He was well-known for his exemplary work ethic. He had a servant's heart as he was well-known for helping others. It didn't matter what needed to be done, Willy was there to help. He did for others graciously and without wanting anything in return. Willy exemplified a gentleman, as he cared for his pets.
Willy is survived by two sisters, Judy Klaw (Klamath Falls, Ore.) Dorothy Jones (Creswell, Ore.). Nieces and nephews include Lisa Deford, Jill Moratto, Matthew Jones and Lucas Jones. His surrogate family/friends at Nosworthy's Hall of Fame including Dave Klaw of Hayden.
We will greatly miss his generosity, laughter and unique way of life. Willy was a "One of a Kind."
