Jo Lenander, 84

| August 13, 2015 9:00 PM

Jo Lenander passed away quietly Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Generations Assisting Living Facility at the age of 84. She was a devoted mother, raising six children, and being a grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

While being married to Dean Lenander for 25 years, they loved golfing, skiing, hiking and spending time at their lake cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene. They also traveled, making numerous trips to Canada and Europe.

As a Mom, she had tons of patience and resolve, providing for six kids, getting them off to school, ready for sports and packed for vacations! Mom was a loving parent and teacher insuring that her children were ready to become productive adults.

Jo had a great sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining family and friends at the house on the Coeur d'Alene Golf Course. She loved having family gatherings during the holidays, especially Christmas. She always decorated the house with a huge Christmas tree and stockings galore for all family members. She enjoyed family barbecues at the lake cabin taking grandkids water skiing, swimming and fishing off the dock.

"Mom you taught me everything I needed to know in life except how to live without you."

The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at the home of Paul Douglas and Kay Moline, 380 E. Wyoming, Hayden, Idaho. Graveside services to follow at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens.
