CAMP: Volunteers richly rewarded

I had a wonderful experience this summer as a reading volunteer for 7- to 9-year-olds at the 2015 Kids Camp at Fernan Elementary School. It was a six-week program, two mornings a week. There were 60 wonderful kids participating and each of their unique and fun personalities became known to all of us.

Children love to learn and in a special summer program such as this, with one-to-one reading partners they have a chance to excel. Anna Wilson and Greta Gissel did an outstanding job of planning and implementing this program. Whenever you see their names on community or educational projects I suggest to rally and do what you can to help.
