Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, Idaho Potato Commission extend sponsorship
BOISE - The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and Idaho Potato Commission have agreed in principle to a two-year extension. The Idaho Potato Commission will remain the title sponsor for the Boise-based bowl game through the 2018 season.
In 2011 the Idaho Potato Commission became the title sponsor and the bowl game name was changed to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl after a five-year agreement was made. The newest arrangement between the two entities will take effect immediately following the 2016 game and will extend for two additional seasons.
The 2015 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl is set to take place on Tuesday, Dec. 22 with a 12:30 p.m. PT kick-off.
