BIBLE: Just tell the truth

| August 9, 2015 9:00 PM

It’s interesting how many different versions of the Bible are “quoted” in various publications. If the same were true of any other book, there would be legal action.

The word “homosexuals” does not appear anyplace in my Bible. (The new Scofield reference Bible, Authorized King James Version). I’m curious as to what prompts people to publicly make false statements. Is it stupidity; overblown ego; assumption of greater intellect than others, so telling a lie becomes truth because one individual speaks it? If one makes up a version of the Bible (lies), it’s OK to tell a lie?

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor” — or maybe even the Bible?
