Lewis captures Idaho 200 pole
POST FALLS - Three-time Idaho 200 champion and Snohomish, Wash., resident Gary Lewis took the pole for tonight's Idaho 200 super late model race at Stateline Speedway, edging out Spokane's Joey Bird for the top spot.
Fellow Spokane driver Blake Williams was third, JC Wofford of Wapato, Wash., fourth and Braeden Havens of Airway Heights was fifth.
The top 10 drivers from qualifying are locked into the 200, and the next eight places of the starting grid were set through Friday's 30-lap last-chance qualifier race.
Former Idaho 200 winner Garrett Evans won the LCQ, with 2013 runner-up (and Spokane resident) Dave Garber second.
The last four positions for tonight's race will be set through a provisional process. Opening ceremonies are set for 7:15 p.m.
