Carol Mooney

Carol Mooney, age 80, passed away on April 20,2015, surrounded by her family at St. Clair Hospital in Lakewood ,WA. 

She was born Carol Marie Satchwell  in Lewiston, Idaho on February 18,1935. Her family later moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID where she met the love of her life, Don Mooney from Cougar Gulch. They were married for over 59 years and had 3 children.

Carol worked at Clover Park Technical College for 31 years where she helped develop several programs. She was director of the Lakewood Senior Center for many years prior to her retirement. She loved to sew, make flower arrangements, attend theater performances, and play cards with friends.

Carol is survived by her husband, Don Mooney; sister Betty (Bill) Weller;  daughter, Joan (Rich) Homeyer; grandchildren: Christina Mooney, Richard Ray, Sarah, Eric and Douglas Homeyer. She was preceded in death  by their sons, Brian Denis and Bruce Alan Mooney.

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 2 at their home in Steilacoom,WA.
