Vicki Lynn Osborne Liedle, 48

| April 16, 2015 9:00 PM

Vicki Lynn (Osborne) Liedle was born to parents Gordon and Nancy Osborne on March 11, 1967, in Omak, Wash., and passed April 12, 2015, in Spokane, Wash.

Vicki was born small, mighty and feisty, and quickly earned the nickname "Stickems." Vicki had a sweet innocence about her and when she was quite young, maybe 2 or 3, she believed she could hear the whispers her dad would say to her mom if she just put her ear against her mom's other ear. One time, her dad told her she could catch a bird if she put salt on its tail. Vicki spent an entire day chasing birds with salt, and finally sat with her arms crossed and the cutest pout across her lips when she was unable to do so. Although she was young, when Vicki learned that she would not always achieve the things that she wanted she never once lost her determination to try, and once she put her mind to trying then that was good enough for her.

Vicki loved her friends, loved her family, and loved Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Vicki loved sharing Our Lord and His Word with others, and brought forth as much encouragement as she could to all those she came in contact with so that they would come to know the Lord as well. In 1998 Vicki missioned in Mexico for Victory Outreach.

Vicki enjoyed many things including researching her family tree, learning our family heritage, and beading beautiful Indian Jewelry like the ancestors that she learned about.

Vicki was very artistic and did not limit herself to beading - she enjoyed drawing, making homemade cards for loved ones, sewing, cooking, canning, writing poems, logging in her journals, painting items and anything else that would tap into that creative mind of hers.

Vicki loved music, and she enjoyed the outdoors - hiking, biking, walking, smelling the fresh air, looking at the different colors and textures of the scenery, and one of her favorite things was dancing in the rain with her arms wide open to a favorite song playing in her head.

Those of us who knew Vicki knew that she loved playing practical jokes and harmless pranks on loved ones, and recalling a favorite joke or story. Vicki had the loudest and heartiest laugh that could be heard across the room, and you knew instantly whose it was from its distinct sound and joyous tone.

Vicki has a favorite poem by Donna Davis that reads:

"Open your eyes to the beauty around you.

Open your mind to the wonders of Life.

Open your heart to those who love you.

And always be true to yourself."

For all of us who knew and loved Vicki, we can without a doubt say this truly describes the essence of the type of person Vicki was and loved to be.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Osborne. She is survived by her son, Brandon Osborne; step-father Ed Schofield and mother Nancy (Osborne) Schofield; brothers Michael "Mike" Osborne, Rocky Osborne and Joseph "Joe" Osborne; and sister, Tracy Osborne. Vicki had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many, many extended family and friends, all of whom she would tell you if you asked were her favorites.

Viewing will be 10 a.m. on Friday, April 17, and the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, Idaho.
