Milijkovic to transfer

from Eastern hoops

Ognjen Milijkovic, a sophomore who started 33 of 34 games for the Eastern Washington men's basketball team, has left the program, the school announced.

That, couple with junior guard Tyler Harvey declaring for the NBA draft and now hiring an agent, means only one starter - senior Venky Jois - returns from last year's 26-9 team that reached the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2004.

"Ognjen has determined for personal reasons that it is best for him to complete his career at another school," Eastern coach Jim Hayford said. "We wish him the best and thank him for all he has given to the program. He leaves with my highest recommendation."

The team's top three subs from last season - Felix Von Hofe, Sir Washington and Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year Bogdan Bliznyuk - will return.

Guard Ty Gibson from Issaquah (Wash.), forward Enrico Nuno of Diablo Valley College (Calif.), forward Geremy McKay (transfer from Albany) and gaurd Grant Gibb from Longview (Wash.) have committed to join the program starting with the 2015-16 season.
