Jo B. La Forge, 92

| April 15, 2015 9:00 PM

Jo B. La Forge, beloved wife and mother, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015.

Jo was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, moved to California in 1960, and had lived in Coeur d'Alene since 1980.

Jo enjoyed gardening, and was known to have the greenest thumb in the county. She especially enjoyed the flowers of her clematis vines, and growing oversized dinner plate dahlias. Her flowers always yielded spectacular blooms which made incredible bouquets for the family table.

Jo and Jean loved their many road trips on their motorcycle. If there was a beautiful campground to be found, they found it. From the beaches of Baja, Calif., to the Canadian coastline, their vacations allowed them to see endless scenery too beautiful to describe.

Jo was also known for her spectacular pies. She was a fabulous cook and pie maker, and when she shared her Lemon Meringue Pies ... not a crumb was left over. Her southern roots graced her kitchen creations which her family and friends eagerly devoured.

But most of all, Jo loved her dogs. Her days were always planned around the care and enjoyment of her loving pets. When they were puppies, she would hold them for hours just taking in that incredible puppy love. As they grew, she would get endless enjoyment from the unconditional love they provided.

Jo is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jean La Forge of Coeur d'Alene; and her daughters Lori Lacy of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Carol Arnold of Ontario, Calif.

Jo attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Coeur d'Alene. She loved her Bible studies, and was involved in all the activities of her faith. All those who loved her attended her services which were held on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
