NORTHWEST NOTES: Longtime Wallace football, track coach Rounds resigns

Longtime Wallace High football coach and track and field coach Dave Rounds recently announced his resignation from both positions.

"I've been doing both jobs for a while now," Rounds said. "I've been the track coach for the last 26 years and I've been part of the football program for 32 years as a head and assistant coach. I just felt it was a matter of time."

Rounds, the head football coach for the past 23 seasons, said he may announce next month whether he will retire as athletic director and teacher.

Rounds has been at the helm of the football team for the last 23 years.

* Kellogg High football coach Tyrel Hendrix also recently announced his resignation.
