CRUZ: Not my kind of Christian
Note to Ted Cruz: Not all Christians subscribe to your values. I am one and I don’t. You may be right in your March 24 article that over half of all born-again Christians don’t vote, but I would be surprised if they all would be in your extremely rigid corner if they did come to the polls. And I’d suspect that even if they believed the way that you think everybody should, they might not want their government ruled in such a restrictive way.
I do think that the IRS needs to be reworked, but I am thankful that they investigate the nonprofit status of radical groups and, while I agree that the health care law could use some tweaking, I am happy for those hardworking citizens who now have access to medical professionals instead of waiting until it is too late and show up at the emergency room.
You certainly have the right to your opinion and you have a right to ask people to support you, but please don’t lump all the rest of us Christians in with your particular flavor of Christianity.
