It's almost 'Take Me Fishing' time

It won't be long before the Idaho Department of Fish and Game's "Take Me Fishing" trailers are traveling to fishing spots throughout the state.

The trailers - stocked with equipment and information and covered with vibrant fish illustrations - make it easy for parents to get their kids excited about fishing.

* The fishing equipment can be checked out for free during scheduled times.

*Reservations are not needed and equipment is checked out on a first-come, first-served basis.

*Participants will be granted a permit to fish without a license.

* If kids get hooked on fishing after the event, parents will have to buy a license.

* Idaho children 13 and younger can fish for free.
