Mable Celia LaBonte, 100

Mable Celia LaBonte, 100, went to be with Jesus on Sept. 20, 2014. She was blessed to pass in her daughter's home in Post Falls, Idaho.

Mable was born on Aug. 14, 1914, in Belfield, N.D., to Elmer Martin and Katherine Henry Martin. On Oct. 29, 1939, Mable married Dallas LaBonte and they raised five children together.

Mable enjoyed reading, sewing, raising beautiful flowers, oil painting, dancing, and always keeping a neat home in their lakeside house in Moses Lake, Wash., for 40 plus years.

Dallas passed away at the age of 83 on May 2, 2000, after 60 years of marriage. Mable lived by herself until 2005 when she went to live with her oldest daughter, Michelle Talbot. In 2009 she traveled to Post Falls, Idaho, to live with her youngest daughter, Faith Kalberg and family.

Mable was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas; she is survived by her son, Maure LaBonte (Ruth) of Spokane, Wash., Michelle Talbot of Moses Lake, Wash., Terri Torgerson (Bill) of Moses Lake, Wash., Brenda Barber (Jim) of Spokane Valley, Wash., and Faith Kalberg (Robert) of Post Falls, Idaho; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, with visitation from noon to 2 p.m., at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel, 744 N. 4th St., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

The family suggests memorials be made to River City Hospice, 3726 E. Mullan Ave., Post Falls, Idaho, 83854.
