PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Cd'A Charter fourth at Rosalia Spikefest
ROSALIA, Wash. - Stephanie Kociela had 29 kills and 36 assists for the Coeur d'Alene Charter Panthers, which finished fourth in the eight-team Rosalia Spikefest on Saturday.
In round-robin play, Coeur d'Alene Charter beat St. George's 25-14, 25-18, then lost to Lind-Ritzville-Sprague 25-22, 25-17, lost to Liberty 25-18, 25-20 and lost to Tekoa-Rosalia 22-25, 25-18.
They split with Valley Christian in bracket play 15-25, 26-24, then lost to Tekoa-Rosalia 25-22, 25-23 in the third-place match."
"They had some of their best games of the season earlier in the day," Coeur d'Alene Charter coach Tera Armstrong said. "They had a really good day today."
Anna Verhaeghe had 25 kills and nine blocks, Madi Attiama eight aces and Jackie Callahan 37 assists in the tournament for Coeur d'Alene Charter (5-6), which hosts Wallace on Thursday at Holy Family Catholic School.
N.I. Christian wins
twice in Washington
Katelyn Stegman had 13 aces and eight assists for the Royals in a 25-12, 25-19, 25-15 Mountain Christian League win against Christian Heritage in Edwall, Wash.
Rayla Andrews had six kills and Karli Chambers had five digs for North Idaho Christian (5-2, 3-2 MCL), which hosts Grace Bible on Tuesday at Venture High.
Earlier, Stegman had nine assists and Grace Gipson had six digs for the Royals in a 25-21, 20-25, 26-24, 25-11 nonleague win against Country Christian in Pasco.
Devon Haag had seven aces and Rayla Andrews had five kills for North Idaho Christian (4-2).
