Run/walk to benefit veterans in need

COEUR d'ALENE - St. Vincent de Paul will sponsor the fourth annual Veterans 5K/10K Run-Walk on Saturday, Nov. 8.

All proceeds from the event go toward helping veterans who are struggling with housing, medical, food, clothing and employment issues.

The fundraiser will be at O'Shay's Restaurant, 313 Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive, and will begin at 10 a.m.

A pancake breakfast will be served by Hayden Bible Church to all participants. Coffee will be supplied by Bakery by the Lake. Music will be provided by Ruby Frog Entertainment.

American Legion Post 143 will present the colors. The Patriot Guard Riders will participate in a parade of motorcycles to kick off the event.

The registration fee is $20. You can register at stvincentdepaulcda.org or by calling 416-4717. Race day packets are available at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store from 2-5 p.m., Nov. 7.
