AAU hoops tryout

set for Sunday

The Running Rebels, an elite AAU basketball program is having a tryout for the third- and fourth-grade level on Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Mullan Trail Elementary in Post Falls.

Lewiston High setter

signs with L-C State

LEWISTON - Lewiston High senior Makayla Wilson has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Lewis-Clark State College, LCSC coach LaToya Harris announced.

Wilson, the Bengals' starting setter since her freshman season, helped Lewiston win state 5A championships each of the past two seasons. She was the 5A Inland Empire League Newcomer of the Year as a freshman, and an all-league selection the past two seasons.

Wilson will be a libero and defensive specialist for LCSC, Harris said.
