Cd'A man fires gun at reckless driver

A Coeur d’Alene man is accused of firing a gun at a vehicle that was traveling recklessly through his neighborhood last night. 

Daniel Montgomery, 39, was arrested just after midnight and booked into Kootenai County jail on suspected charges of aggravated assault and discharging a firearm at a vehicle. 

No one was injured in the incident.

City police responded to a report of gunfire at 8:08 p.m. in the 1300 block of Kaleigh Court. 

Investigators determined that Montgomery tried to stop a reckless vehicle traveling through his neighborhood by pointing a firearm at the car. As the driver attempted to flee, Montgomery reportedly shot multiple rounds at the vehicle as it traveled away.
