Cd'A: Welcome to Ferguson

I am proposing that the name of Coeur d’Alene be changed to Ferguson. Ours is the most recent city to find a white police officer guilty of murder. This time a black dog. That qualifies us to make the citizens of Coeur d’Alene a racist city! I never thought that Coeur d’Alene residents or The Press would buy into a mob mentality that was to be spread by mob violence and the general press. Has no one ever been frightened by a dog? I would suggest each of us has been at one time or another in our life!

I have had many dogs in my life and I loved them dearly, so I am not a dog hater or calloused. I see a human life to be as important as a dog’s life is. There are 3,000 abortions a day in the U.S. In the six weeks that this concern for one dog has raged in The Press 126,000 babies have had their lives terminated by their mothers and so-called “medical providers” just to destroy a baby with unlimited potential. Where is the outrage and concern for those lost human lives? How much is a baby worth? Nothing?

It is a shame to see our area take up the mob mentality that we saw so recently in Ferguson. Someone has said if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a duck. By the same reasoning, if it acts like a mob, thinks like a mob and believes false or unfounded conclusion as a mob does, THEN IT IS A MOB!

I have more faith in Coeur d’Alene than that, but only YOUR BEHAVIOR will show whether we are Coeur d’Alene or have become Ferguson, Idaho.
