Anita Schoch, 89

| September 14, 2014 9:00 PM

Anita Schoch peacefully went to Heaven on Sept. 4, 2014. Anita was born in Tennessee, moving to Ohio as a baby. She was the eldest child of seven. She married Harold Schoch in 1947. They raised five children: Jack Vaughn, Sandy Haasch (Brian), Ray Schoch (Lesley), Thala Morris (John), and Tammy Cunningham (PJ). She was a wonderful Gramma to 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Anita had a long and fulfilling life. Harold and she owned and operated The Heights Cafe in Ohio before moving to Coeur d'Alene in 1979. They loved living in the Northwest. Anita filled her time with reading, sewing, cooking, crafts, fishing, traveling, and several years as a caterer for The Iron Horse. But most of all, she was "always there" for her kids.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her parents, and all six siblings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a wonderful friend to many. She will be very much missed by all.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. Please visit Anita's online memorial and sign her guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
