PREP ROUNDUP: Ghramm leads St. Maries past Miners

WALLACE - Kari Ghramm racked up 13 kills to lead the St. Maries Lumberjacks to a 25-18, 25-11, 18-25, 25-20 win over the Wallace Miners in nonleague play on Monday night.

Catherine Flach finished with eight digs and two aces, Kelsey Auer 28 assists, Alexis Cordell 10 kills and Cassandra Scott seven digs for St. Maries (3-0), which plays at Kellogg on Thursday at 7.

"We keep coming together each time we play," St. Maries coach Amy Scheer said. "We're learning new things and we are reaching new goals.

"Our teamwork has been outstanding the last couple games."

Priest River

PRIEST RIVER - Madison Napierala finished with four blocks and six assists in the Warriors' 17-25, 16-25, 16-25 nonleague loss to Priest River.

Grace McInturff added three kills and two aces, Hope Martin two digs for Kootenai (0-2), which hosts Clark Fork on Thursday.

COEUR d'ALENE - Katelyn Stegman finished with eight aces, four kills and four assists to lead North Idaho Christian to a 25-3, 25-12, 25-11 win over Genesis Prep in Mountain Christian League play at Venture High School.

Hannah Manly added four digs for North Idaho Christian, which tallied 30 aces as a team on the evening.

The Royals (1-0 MCL) is back in action tonight Kootenai Thunder of Sandpoint at Venture High at 7:30.

MEAD - Camryn Wendlandt scored in the second half off a feed by Alissa Joliff, and then added the only goal in the shootout to lead Lake City past Mead in nonleague play.

The Timbwerwolves (3-0) faced the Benglas in Lewiston on Thursday.
