BEARCAT: Help for the good guys

| September 7, 2014 9:00 PM

Kudos to Rocky, Ben and the Kootenai County Sheriff’s office. A great idea purchasing the new tactical vehicle for our police officers.

Keeping our officers safe so they may have a better chance of going home at night with family and loved ones should be a county-wide top priority. We have no idea what really goes on out on the streets at night while most of us are tucked away safe while the officers do their job.

The police force needs to be better protected and better equipped than the real criminals.

There seems to be some shallow thinking about the sheriff’s office not needing this piece of equipment. Just want to remind these folks Sheriff Wolfinger used seized drug money. No out-of-pocket tax money was used toward the purchase. Why do you stumble over this while you vote unanimously to throw dollars at McEuen? Now that’s funny.
