NESSE: Advocate for education funding

| September 3, 2014 9:00 PM

Why would a former teacher of gifted children and orchestra who is also an R.N. run for Idaho State Representative in a state that ranks low in education funding? Because she believes that the most beautiful state should also have the best schools to train and offer hope for prospective jobs and livelihoods of its citizens.

I’ve known Anne Nesse for more than 15 years as a interested and persistent hard worker who researches sustainable economies that bring a higher quality of life, and one who desires to bring excellent health care and a safe environment to all. She believes students need hands-on learning and opportunities for creativity, with sharing and collaboration among teachers and even schools. To counteract “entitlement” attitudes she thinks that emphasis on caring and community service can begin at an early age in our schools. I trust Anne to work to the best of her ability in the legislature to accomplish these goals.

Anne shared the link to a video about Sorensen Elementary School, Coeur d’Alene’s Magnet School of the Arts. It is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PG_81nGr3pU. Enjoy, and vote for Anne if you live in district 4B.
