Indians fall to Vancouver

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Luke Tendler hit a pair of RBI singles for the Spokane Indians, who suffered a 5-3 loss to the Vancouver Canadians in Northwest League baseball Sunday before 5,157 at Nat Bailey Stadium.

Indians starter Andrew Barnett allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings for Spokane (15-22 second half). Erik Swanson gave up two runs on two hits and took the loss.

Yeyfry Del Rosario picked up the win for Vancouver (20-17), after relieving starter Matthew Smoral.

The two teams play again today at 1 p.m., in the regular-season finale for both teams. The Indians remain in Vancouver to start a best-of-three playoff series on Tuesday night. Spokane won the North Division first-half title and Vancouver, with the win Sunday, clinched the second-half title.
