| October 30, 2014 9:00 PM

Patrick Jacobs, 42, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away from a "cardiac event" on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014.

Born in Spokane on April 11, 1972, Patrick grew up in Coeur d'Alene andis survivedby his mother, Patty Hall; father Bob Jacobs; stepfather Gary Hall; two stepsisters, Kara Parkman and Elana Hall-Emerson; five nieces and nephews whom he cherished, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Patrick ("Tracket") is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and his beloved cousin, Matthew English.

Often known as OrangeTV, Patrick has been a writer and blogger for The Spokesman Review, Get Out! North Idaho, and Huckleberries. His candid and often saucy reviews put him on the cutting edge of music, fashion, food and more. Deeply rooted in the Cd'A community, he often wrote about local establishments with his opinions both widely read and highly respected. Steeped in honor, his writing like his life reflected humor and a heartfelt message.

Patrick has been dubbed the 'music idol' due to his exceeding knowledge and all-time love for music. He enjoyed making the trek to Seattle to see some of his favorite bands from the 1980s, most recently Blondie and Heart. Music is something Patrick has left us with and a place where he can always be found.

Rainbow was Patrick's favorite color and Christmas his favorite holiday. He tended bar at Mik's, his most favorite night-time haunt, and was known by friends and family there as 'GingerBear' due to his shockingly red hair and wonderful teddy bear hugs.

Patrick often championed those without a voice, his discerning spirit loved deeply and his roomy soul made everyone feel welcome. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services are planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N. 5th St., Coeur d'Alene. English Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
