Authorities identify man found dead in Boise

BOISE (AP) - A man found dead in Boise in an area frequented by transients has been identified.

The Ada County Coroner's Office on Wednesday said 37-year-old Russell "Rusty" Bitton died of blunt force trauma to the head.

He was found Tuesday morning on 16th Street beneath an overpass.

Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg has ruled the death a homicide.

KTVB-TV reports that police have not named a suspect.
