VOTE: R or D, Shriner's best
Jerry Shriner is the best candidate for the job of Kootenai County Commissioner. Jerry has a broad experience: 20 years in criminal correction ending as Special Assistant to the Alaskan Commissioner of Corrections, then eight years in private business as a contractor in Kootenai County, then finishing work with his wife in operating Harmony House, an assisted living facility.
After retirement, Jerry has been an active, outspoken, most knowledgeable public citizen recognizing the problems and the opportunities in Kootenai County.
Jerry Shriner opposes asking Kootenai County taxpayers to pay for building a new jail. As a county commissioner, Jerry would be sure that county business would be totally transparent with maximum public participation.
In contrast, Jerry’s opponent, David Stewart, is a puppet for developers. There is real danger in having the Kootenai County Commission in the control of those who have only their own interests for profit at heart.
Toss aside the party label and vote for Jerry Shriner, the commissioner who will listen and act in the public interest for everyone in the county, not just the self-selected few giving orders to their candidate.
