PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Badgers down Tigers for 3A District 1 title

BONNERS FERRY - Courtney Eaton had seven kills and Matraca Rocheleau had 18 assists for the third-seeded Timberlake Tigers in a 25-17, 25-11, 25-23 loss to the top-seeded Bonners Ferry Badgers in the 3A District 1 tournament on Wednesday night.

Timberlake (7-15) will host Priest River (10-8), which upset Kellogg in four games in a loser-out match earlier on Wednesday.

Bonners Ferry advances to the state 3A tournament next Friday-Saturday at Twin Falls High.

Becca Castle had four blocks, Savannah Burns four aces and Kiara Hauck nine digs for Timberlake.

Priest River beat second-seeded Kellogg 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-17 to eliminate the Wildcats (10-9).

PLUMMER - Te'a Lambert had five kills and six aces, four coming in the second game for the Knights in a 25-19, 25-19, 25-18 win over the Warriors in a 1A Division II District 1 tournament match at Ron Miller Court.

"Overall, it was just a real balanced attack tonight," Lakeside co-coach Karyn Stockdale said. "We had really good defensive coverage from (Mayana) Adrian and Sativa (Bohlman)."

Talia Hendrickx had 19 assists and three kills, Cailyn Dohrman three kills, two aces and six blocks, Sarah Daman two blocks and four aces and Sativa Bohlman two aces and four digs for Lakeside (7-11), which faces Mullan in a semifinal match on Saturday at Timberlake High.

In other district play, Mullan (8-3) beat Clark Fork (3-15) in four games at the Mullan Pavilion.

Kootenai (2-13) will face Clark Fork in a loser-out match on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Timberlake.

POST FALLS - The Jaguars fell in four games to The Oaks 25-14, 25-18, 24-26, 25-16, in Mountain Christian League play at Seltice Elementary School.

Genesis Prep (7-7) travels to The Oaks on Tuesday.
