WRITER: Won't find sympathy here
This letter is directed to John Willard of Post Falls. Let me start by saying “contempt prior to investigation cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance.”
Research is easy these days. Mine shows that these train engineers are not “sick, twisted little men,” but are in fact the hardworking men behind the scenes who bring you, your 7-year-old, and everyone else in the world their goods. Without them, we all perish.
Take it or leave it, but here’s a fact. Power outages happen. So much for automated gates and flashing lights. Here’s another fact. Trains have GPS. The horns “blast” automatically at intersections. The sick, twisted little man has nothing to do with it.
OK, so nobody warned you that trains actually run the tracks you moved close to. I feel for you, brother. I moved in next to the Coeur d’Alene airport. No one, and I mean no one, warned me that I would hear planes coming and going. I’m thinking of suing the airport. Try explaining to your 7-year-old how her dad even wrote this whiny crap, when she’s grown. Train free zone? Try Neverland. All kids are happy there. You’ll fit right in.
Buying in Post Falls was a mistake for a guy like you. You say “Goodbye, Post Falls.” Well sir, Post Falls says goodbye to you.
