STRANSKY: Issues, not ideology
In the contest for the position of state representative for District 2A, we will be voting for Cheryl Stransky. Her party affiliation is insignificant. She is clearly the only choice, given her opponent’s ideology.
It is incomprehensible to imagine that someone would support a candidate who believes “public education is a godless institution” and votes to deny us the opportunity to have a much needed mental health crisis center.
Perplexing is one way of describing people who vote entirely along party lines. Ballots need not have names, rather simply offer a choice between R and D. The character of the candidate becomes unimportant. It’s all about the party.
We need a representative who is compassionate about community values, uses common sense regarding education, jobs, veterans and mental health issues.
Diversity is a good thing.
It’s a no brainer. Vote for Cheryl Stransky!
