Phyllis Laureen Crimmins, 70

Laureen Crimmins, 70, went home to be with the Lord on October 15, 2014. She passed peacefully at Coeur d'Alene Life Care Center with her family at her bedside. Laureen was born Phyllis Laureen Daley on Sept. 17, 1944 to Wesley and Viola Daley in San Francisco, CA. After losing her mother at the age of 10, she was raised by a loving aunt and uncle, Lee and Vinera Griffis.

Laureen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother Larry Daley her husband Tom, son Paul of Bakersfield, CA, a daughter Gail Wiggin of Post Falls, ID and seven grand children Andrew, Jonathan, James, Alex, Thomas, Maxwell and Emalee.

Laureen attended college in San Francisco and at Humboldt State College in Arcata, CA where she met Thomas Crimmins who became her husband, of 48 years. She was quiet but always willing to help anyone that needed it. She had an infectious smile that will be sorely missed by all that knew her. She loved to travel, sew and quilt. Her quilts will continue to keep many people warm for years to come.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday Oct. 25 at 11 am at Anthem Friends Church in Hayden. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Laureen's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, or to your favorite charity.
