VOTE: Elect these candidates
Elected officials must act as public servants, not ideological evangelists. We must elect candidates who represent the best interests of the entire community in local, state and national government. Idaho needs thoughtful, well-informed, well-educated political representatives with broad perspectives, who understand the importance of diversity and innovation; who listen to and respect divergent viewpoints, and who understand the value of building a broad-based coalition to meet the current and future needs of all their constituents — not just their political supporters. Responsible representation requires far-sighted moderation, continuing education on the issues, dedication to progressive reform and continuous improvement in conditions for the whole community.
A positive outlook for current citizens and future generations requires an informed electorate actively participating in the electoral process and electing visionary candidates who will govern responsibly and build for the future-who put the well-being of country and community before self and party. This election, we can choose between public servants dedicated to the welfare of the entire community or self-interested, backward-looking ideologues.
I back candidates for public office who have demonstrated their commitment to working for the reforms necessary to bring Idaho out of the past and into a brighter future. These candidates deserve your support and your votes:
Cheryl Stansky, Idaho House of Representatives District 2A; Anne Nesse, Idaho House of Representatives District 4B; Jerry Shriner, County Commissioner 2nd District; Bruce Noble, County Commissioner 1st District; Janet Callen, Kootenai County Treasurer; Holli Woodings, Secretary of State; Deborah Silver, State Treasurer; Jana Jones, Superintendant of Public Instruction; A.J. Balukoff, Governor; Shirley Ringo, U.S. Representative 1st Congressional District; and Nels Mitchell, U.S. Senate.
A vote to elect these responsible, conscientious candidates will make a much-needed positive change for all Idahoans.
