VOTE: But not for Democrats
It seems that there is a flood of letters to the editor this election cycle urging voters to “vote for the person, not for the party.” From what I’ve seen, all of these have been submitted by minority Democrats who know this mantra is their only hope. In their arguments, they typically cherry pick specific issues to make their candidate sound appealing, while completely ignoring the fact that they are still Democrats, and therefore support the planks of the Democratic Party. And what are some of those planks?
Democrats are the ones who aggressively support and fund the institutional murder of unborn humans, the defiant opposition to and evisceration of our Second Amendment rights, the dismantling of our borders at the risk of our security, economy and health and the bureaucratic and financial disaster that is government-run health care. Vote for the person and not for the party? Save your breath. I will never vote for your Democrat candidate even if it is Jesus himself.
My mantra is “vote with your feet,” which I did this year when I fled the liberal Utopian disaster that is California. Those who wish to invoke your idea of “positive change” here, I suggest you instead redirect your energy, vote with your feet and relocate there. You will be right at home.
