PAIN: Help is on the way
My eyes filled with tears as your poem I did read
I could feel your pain, I heard your need
You see I am you, for I too live in pain
My story however says life need not be in vain
I cannot promise miracles, I claim no healing touch
But I have found a path and tossed my crutch
I now reach out to help others like me
Perhaps we could talk, if you would let that be.

Lorri,
As a chronic pain sufferer myself, I hear your pain. I tried the traditional medical treatments and hit the wall there. I now volunteer with Heritage Health (previously the Dirne Clinic) as peer counselor for people in chronic pain. My services cost nothing. I would love to see you attend a seminar on chronic pain management I am hosting Oct. 26 at Lake City Community Church. Doctor Joe Abate, Dr. David Wait and I will be sharing thoughts, current treatments and theories, and my method of peer based mindfulness management of chronic pain. This is a FREE seminar, (no videos, books or anything is being promoted or sold). LCCC is graciously providing the space and support free of charge but this is a community-wide event not limited to any specific group, church or association. Hope you can be there. Any and all are most welcome to attend.
